The Company...

  1. We have been in the residential inspection business since 2005.
  2. We are not involved in any other business. In accordance with the ASHI® Standards of Practice, we do not participate in any referral or construction related activities. It represents a conflict of interest.
  3. Yes, we have professional Liability insurance.
  4. Yes, we do carry Errors & Omissions insurance with FREA, the largest insurer in the Real Estate Industry and are also bonded.
  5. We always encourage buyers to attend the inspection. Buyers that attend have a better understanding of the property as viewed by the inspector and are better able to read and interpret the final report. The buyer's attendance also helps them understand the scope of a home inspection as well as the limitations.
  6. An inspection can usually be scheduled within one or two days.
  7. A typical inspection of a 2400 square foot house will take roughly 3 hours.

The Inspector...

  1. Tim has just recently entered the Home Inspection field but has over 20 years of construction and inspection experience. In addition he has been certified with the American Home Inspection Training Institute, is licensed with the State of Washington as a structural pest inspector and will be constantly under going continuing education in the field of home inspection.
  2. Pierick's Precision Home Inspection has performed more than 200 inspections to date.
  3. Pierick's Precision Home Inspection has already performed more than 250 inspections just in 2006.
  4. Tim will soon be joining the Washington State Pest Control Association (WSPCA) and the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors (NACHI).

The Report...

  1. The inspection fees vary slightly depending on the size and age of the house. A full inspection of a 4000 square foot house is $300.00. Pest inspections is included. Radon testing is not neccesary in Western Washington due to the make up of the soil.
  2. A full inspection covers the Site/Grounds, Exterior, Structural Components, Foundation, Roof, Attic, Insulation, Ventilation, Plumbing, Electrical, Heating/AC, Garage, Kitchen, Bathrooms, and Interior.
  3. Yes, we prepare an extensive written report that generally runs 25-30 pages. Included is a Report Summary that will let you quickly review the recommended improvements to the home. The report is a checklist of the features of the structure, types of materials etc. and includes general comments, in narrative form, of each part of the structure so that you can read, in plain english, the results of the home inspection. We also supply ballpark repair estimates for major improvements, repair time frames, and advice on logical discretionary improvements. A Maintenance Schedule is also provided for your home.
  4. The main report is computer generated on-site. There are no sloppy hand-written checklists! Any problems will be discussed with client and a final report with photos will be given to the client.
  5. The report is available the same day.
